Adoptables - BackstoriesHerteling
These creatures are heavily influenced by what we know as deer, but they're born with the most vibrant furs you can imagine.
Looking at the eggs will give you an idea of what the creature on the inside will look like, but sometimes you can be in for a surprise.
The males of the species are know for their big, curved horns, the females have short, stubby stumps that pass as horns.
In certain cases, the females may have longer, curly and elegant horns, but these hertelings are extremely rare.
Within the species, there's a distinction between the Earthbounds and the Starmarked Ones.
* Earthbounds *
These hertelings are known to wander the earth in groups of 5 to 10 creatures at a time, living peacefully together.
They prefer living in forests, preferably deciduous forests. However, if given enough time, they can adapt to more or less any living conditions

I finally finished the piece! OTL"

I know I posted the line-art ages ago, but university has kept me from working on this piece.
However, I'm glad it's finally finished and I dare say I'm pretty damn proud of how it turned out.

Also: I've found a technique that works for me in terms of painting, yays!
I'll be trying to develop and perfect this technique further, so hopefully I won't derp with it. C:
