Important!
I made an account for my adoptables to be posted there since I think you guys may tire from them being posted here.
The account is ~Hardrockangel-Adopts and will have the same avatar as my main account for now. My adoptables will be posted there now (including thse I already have in my gallery, so before anyone thinks it's an art thief I just wanted to make sure it's my account. First of all: EEK EXAMS ARE ON THEIR WAY!
Secondly: But so is Christmas!

I will be a bit less active during my exam period since I have to study, but I'll make sure to pop in from time to time. As for how my exam-preparations are going so far, I'd say splendid. I passed the mock-exams with flying colours and finally feel like I *get* the matter. I've also been going to seminars to help deal with anxiety for failure and extreme stress, so I should be able to survive the exam-period in one piece this year. As for Christmas-plans, I don't have any besides "spend even more time with the family".
I do look forward to the Holiday though. Some of you may already know this, but I am a big Christmas-junkie.
I love how everything becomes cozy and warm and fuzzy.
I love the Christmas-markets and spending more time with my family.
I love being able to unwind in front of the fire place in my great-aunt's house.
I love how it will snow and I can be inside, huddling in a blanket with a mug of tea and a great book.
I just love winter and the Holidays in general.

Speaking of great books: I recently got my hands on discounted copies of The Hunger Games and the first book in the series of Game of Thrones.
WOW.
That is all I have to say.
*j/k*Seriously though, I think I read through all four in little under two weeks (finishing the Hunger games in three days and nights -- couldn't sleep!) and I'm blown away. I'd been recommended the books many times now, but never really got around to reading them. now that I did, I think I finally truly understand the hype surrounding them.
First of all: Game of Thrones: I follow the series, but the books are even better. More details, even more storylines (even more of Joffrey being a little prick) and so forth. All in all: I want the other books too now, but I can't since exams. Poo. :C
The Hunger Games: I was blown away. The book was gruesome without being pure horror, the story was amazing and I truly felt sad when I finished the last book.
I was iffy since the cover had a big bold recommendation stamp from Stephenie Meyer, but holy shit: I so hope that there will there be more books in the series? And the movie trailers and the soundtrack for the film: LOVE!

Last but not least: #
CuteAvvieOverload is holding a Christmas contest!
Go check it out!.
Also: my
raffle still runs until the
15th, so have you entered yet?
I'm sure you'll do wonderfully well.
Soundtrack for the film?
I saw the trailer. It didn't look half bad, though I was more interested in the setting than anything else. What do you think of the actors and so on?
I didn't think the books were that ... great. They were good, but eh.
Have you read.. Battle Royal? Or whatever it's called. Apparently they're very similar. =/
And yup, I already found one of the songs that'll be used for the soundtrack and I love it.
This one. I'm a sucker for instrumentals that end with a choir. :'D
I'm also interested in the setting, though I hope they'll be able to preserve the spirit of the stories.
As for the actors, I'm still a bit .. "meh". I don't know half of them, so I'm curious to see how they'll be in the movie.
I think I may have loved the books so much since I recently tried to plow through "Warm Bodies" to see what all the fuss was about. I gave up about half-way through as the story is quite frankly horrid. :C
And I haven't yet. I'll see if I can get my hands on the books in my library. o.O
Really? That's awesome!
Do you have a link to it? Though I could probably search it... I may do later on, actually.
Interesting... why do you like that kind of music? I am open to it as well, if you have any suggestions or recommendations other than that of The Hunger Games. o.O
How would the setting not preserve the spirit of the stories, you think?
Hmm... Yeah, I get what you mean. I was the same. =/
But isn't that a good thing? To have unknowns acting in roles that... will probably be like Twilight? I mean, Twilight made Kristin Stewart (or whatever her name is) and ... whatever his name is, famous. They will forever be seen as the actors of Twilight like Daniel Radcliffe will forever be seen as Harry Potter, if you get what I mean? So it may be better to have unknowns...
if only because they can then get proper fame themselves, gives everyone else a chance?
Really?
Interesting... so The Hunger Games is your... standard to things now?
I already linked to it, though I put it in a text-link: [link] . There you go. c:
And I don't really know, it's calming and invigorating at the same time I suppose.
I don't think the setting would have anything to do with it, I just fear that they might cut out vital parts of the book and damage the story that way. Like they did with the third Harry Potter. :C
And I suppose it can be. Which is why I'm curious to see how they'll perform.
I do feel bad for the Twilight-actors though as they absolutely despise the series (they mention it in interviews) but will always be seen as Bella and Edward.
And nope, my standard to things still are the Lord of The Rings-series for fantasy.
That makes sense. It's a tough cookie, but you'll get there!
Thanks a lot!
It sounds a lot like some of the other music I know... but I really like it. The composer is unknown, right?
I'll have to get me some of that type of music. >.>
Oh right, I see.
That is a possibility, yes.
What should the third have included? O.o
Really?
Huh, that's interesting... but yes, too late for that now. Quite a lot of people love them, though, no? Sort of a good and bad thing with that. >.>
Ha, that's a high bench mark.
I got my grade back for the mock-exam Spanish and I passed comfortably.
That's a lot of stress off my back.
I think the composer is unknown, I'd never heard of him before.
Then again, I only know a handful of composers.
I missed a lot of the more subtle jokes and fun-scenes in the third movie. They focuses so much on "main story only" that the movie ended up being a bit lifeless. The subplots, though not all, bring a bit of life to the books and I think they should have at least included one.
And a high-bench-mark indeed, but deserved.
Interesting... yeah, I think so. I tried looking some of his stuff up and couldn't find many things. =/
That sucks, though it does make sense, actually. o.O
I'm doing my exams right now, too. I only have one left for tomorrow morning and it's an easy one. Hurray! :3 As for you, I know you will do well!
Christmas time is very nice indeed. Though here, we rarely get the snow. The past few years, it has snowed one day each winter which I think is a record. It's so pretty but personally I'm glad it doesn't stick around longer than that.
I have the first four Game of Thrones books! Wish I could just simply hand them to you to borrow, but I have half of them loaned out at the moment anyway..
Also, I knew you would love the Hunger Games. Now that the movie is coming out, I keep badgering my friends who I know will like it to read the books so I will have some people to go see the movie with.
Btw, I know there's much more to the series than shipping but... Team Peeta or Team Gale?
I'm definitely on Peeta's team.
And ah, lucky! You'll be able to celebrate Christlas at ease. They decided in Belgium that the Christlas-break is the excellent time to prep for exams. It sucks, but I suppose it could be worse.
And no snow? That sounds so surreal!
Last year we had tons and tons of snow here, to the point where the buses and trains couldn't ride on time anymore. And trust me, being in a slipping bus is scary. D:
Ah yes, season two of Game Of Thrones!
I personally can't wait for that either. And I'll have to see if I can loan the books from the library. They *should* have them.
And if they don't they should order them.
Hunger Games-movie!
I hope they won't butcher the book, but I'm mildly optimistic. And team Peeta all the way! When you like someone, you don't prove it by blowing up their sister (coughGALEcough).
